Mr. Perlmutter’s experience includes a 27 year career at the Internal Revenue Service as Estate Tax Attorney, Revenue Agent and Valuation Specialist. While at the IRS, he has reviewed thousands of appraisals for audit selection and audited the tax returns of some of the wealthiest and most prominent individuals. In the process, he has taken cases to IRS Appeals and to Tax Court. Mr. Perlmutter specializes in valuation issues relating to business entities, intellectual property and music/film copyrights, trademarks and name and likeness rights. Mr. Perlmutter is part of a unique team that offers valuation related consulting, appraisal and expert witness testimony. The team also performs royalty compliance audits for music, film and other licensing situations.
